Mrs. Kamphouse’s Class      Week of May 28th

DATES TO REMEMBER:
·      Friday, June 1st:
Track and Field Day: This will be in the afternoon from 12:30-2:30. Please remember sunscreen, t-shirt and shorts, and tennis shoes!

·      Monday & Tuesday, June 4th & 5th:
Both of these days are half days.  Your child will be dismissed at 11:35 each day.

Please note:
Your child will begin to take things home this week.
The math journals are theirs to keep and work on during the summer.  We did more single sheets than the math journals this year, so these can be used for days of boredom during the summer! J

Also, I believe the Class Dojo site for my class will be open until August, but you may want to start downloading pictures that you would like to keep from the site.  I will be adding more on Track and Field Day too!

The last couple of weeks have been spent testing and reviewing.  We will continue this during the next four days.

I am overwhelmed by the children’s test scores! I am so proud of their hard work this year!

Their average growth for reading was 21 points!
High growth in first grade is 16 points.

Their average growth for math was almost 25 points!
High growth in first grade is 18 points.

I will be sending home their reports, and sight words for the summer.
