-Our class will be focusing on Peter Pan; if you happen to have any décor and/or props to help us decorate our hallway, please let me know ASAP! :)
-Reading with Safety Goggles—students can bring in safety goggles from home to keep in their book boxes for the month OR be able to purchase a pair at school for $1. They can also bring in a stuffed toy (not too large) to keep in their locker until reading time.

shoes, and a water bottle WITH THEIR
NAME ON IT for your little one. They
will change right after lunch recess and we will head down to jump.
VALENTINE’S DAY
Please send in your child’s box tomorrow. I will have extra if they don’t have one. J I usually do a game rotation for Valentine’s
Day, but we won’t have a whole lot of time because of Jump for Heart. We will open cards before recess and then
enjoy some treats and a video before heading home! I think they will be ready to relax after
jumping!
TISSUES:
We are out of tissues because of all of the YUCKS going
around!! New boxes are welcome anytime

STUDENT OF THE WEEK:
Sophia and Jerick were our Students of the Week!
Sophia will turn 7 this month!
She enjoys riding her 4-wheeler, her bike, and playing at her friend
Landen’s house. Sophia’s favorite foods
are pizza and ice cream. She would like
to be a better runner, and a better reader!
Her favorite movie is Trolls. J
Jerick came to us from the Philippines this year!! He is a great
addition to our classroom, and is learning VERY quickly! He has also made a lot of friends, and is a
good runner. Jerick enjoys riding bike,
and playing tag with his sister Jersel!
Jerick’s favorite food is chicken. J
JUMP FOR HEART & VALENTINE’S DAY:
Jump Rope for Heart will be on the same day as our Valentine’s
Day party, February 14th. We
will exchange Valentine cards, and enjoy some Valentine’s Day treats AFTER Jump
Rope for Heart.
VALENTINE’S DAY
I have let the children decorate their own Valentine’s Day box
at home the last couple of years, and this has worked out well! I have extra tissue boxes here at school if
anyone needs a box to decorate.
Otherwise, cereal boxes work well too.
J
Here is a class list. You
may have your child use this to fill out their Valentine’s Day cards. Please
have them write their friend’s names.
This is good handwriting practice.
Encourage them to begin each name with an uppercase letter, and the rest
of the letters are lowercase.
