Report cards went home today, and the tech people are not sure why some of the Quarter 1 markings are not on the report cards anymore!!??
Sorry about that, but you
are able to see Quarter 2! J Just a reminder…numbers 3 and 4 are great.
1 means this is a skill that needs improvement, and 2 either means they
have not been taught this skill much yet, or they are in need of improvement in
that area.
STUDENT OF THE WEEK:
Our Student of the Week last week was Lyndon! Lyndon likes to fish and hunt. One day he would like to hunt in
Arkansas! His favorite food is cake, and
he likes Logging movies. Lyndon will
turn 7 in August! J
TESTING:
We will be taking our Unit 4 Math test tomorrow, as well as
finish up our NWEA Reading Test.
Therefore, it is so helpful that your child has a good night’s rest and
is to school on time!
LOOKING AHEAD:
Jump Rope for Heart will be on the same day as our Valentine’s
Day party, February 14th. We
will exchange Valentine cards, and enjoy some Valentine’s Day treats AFTER Jump
Rope for Heart.
VALENTINE’S DAY
I have let the children decorate their own Valentine’s Day box
at home the last couple of years, and this has worked out well! I have extra tissue boxes here at school if
anyone needs a box to decorate.
Otherwise, cereal boxes work well too.
J
Here is a class list. You
may have your child use this to fill out their Valentine’s Day cards. Please
have them write their friend’s names.
This is good handwriting practice.
Encourage them to begin each name with an uppercase letter, and the rest
of the letters are lowercase.
